Description :

  • Compact uses linear movement block (LM Block) for rigidity of the movement and ball-screw nut for manual as well as stepper motor controlled movement of the LM block.
  • Diameter of the screw 15mm.
  • Pitch of the screw 5mm.
  • Linear scale fixed to the support gives 1mm readings.
  • Circular disc fixed to the shaft the screw gives has 100 divisions on the circumference. This gives a movement 0.05mm/division.
  • A disc with a handle is provided for continuously rotating the screw for movement of the traverse when the movement is mechanical. When the movement is stepper motor controlled the stepper motor will be provided for movement.
  • When the stepper motor is used for the traverse has home and end limit switches.

Stepper motor and controller:

  • The controller board is base on microcontroller.
  • Specific stepper motor control chips drive the stepper motor.
  • This board is connected to the main handheld with Multi Axis Traverse through Can bus.
  • The controller handles input/output from the hand held unit and the inputs from limit switches.
  • Different modes of stepper motor movement are controlled by this board.
  • Each controller board has an individual I.D. for recognition.
  • Power supply 12v DC, 3AMP is given through the CAN bus connector.

Hand Held Unit:

  • Microcontroller based system.
  • 4line/20charecter LCD display for all display purposes.
  • 4 x 4 keypad for all settings and operation.
  • CAN bus digital connectivity for all individual traverse controllers.
  • RS232 link for PC communication.
  • User friendly operation for mode selection, editing information and START/STOP operation.
  • Modes are AXIS, PC COMMUNICATION, and HAND HELD UNIT.
